What is Cycloidal Vibration?
Cycloidal Massage is a mechanical vibration, which has been successfully used for more than 60 years and has had many favourable medical research studies completed on it by Universities and Teaching Hospitals worldwide. It is therefore not a new concept but the Cyclo-ssage portable full body Massage System has made the application of this well proven therapy more simple and effective then ever before.

How does Cycloidal Massage actually work?
Cycloidal Vibration produces a multi-directional, non-percussive action, which increases blood and lymphatic circulation by stimulating deep muscle activity. It is a non-invasive action allowing muscles to relax and circulation to be improved without aggravating any skeletal or joint problems.

What benefits are achieved by using the Infrared Heat Facility?
Far Infrared Heat Therapy effectively helps to increase blood circulation without putting strain on the heart and increases the levels of oxygen and white cells in the blood. It also stimulates the production of collagen (a building block for human tissue) in the body and helps to rid the body of toxins by causing perspiration to occur. This will result in a stronger immune system, better cardiovascular health, and a faster ability to heal from soft tissue injuries such as tears, pulls and sprains.

Is Far Infrared Radiation dangerous?
There are many harmful rays given off by the sun but Far Infrared rays are not among them. The energy given by Far Infrared light is absolutely essential for humans and all living things. Infrared light is an important energy force that promotes healing by naturally increasing your white blood cell count. More white blood cells mean greater immunity. Greater immunity means improved health resulting in a better quality of life.

Are there any side effects?
There have been no findings regarding negative secondary effects. The Cycloidal Massage units used in the Massage System produce a non-invasive action allowing muscles to relax and circulation to be improved without aggravating any skeletal or joint problems that already exist.

Should I use the massage if I am suffering from a Thrombosis?
We do not advise use of the massage system if you are suffering from a current Thrombosis or have any very recent history of the condition.

Should I use the Massage System during Pregnancy?
We do not advise using the massage system during Pregnancy, as there have been no medical studies undertaken with regard to any possible harmful effects.

Can I use the Massage System, despite suffering from a Prolapsed Disc?
Prolapsed discs often cause muscle spasm combined with reduced blood circulation as secondary conditions. If these symptoms persist over extended periods of time typical clinical pain patterns arise. An effective and conservative approach to treatment is to relax the muscle spasm with heat and massage in order to improve circulation. The Cycloidal Massage action used ensures that the disc or the spinal column will not be aggravated as the massage produces a none invasive action which is non percussive and as a result is very beneficial to prolapse disc suffers.

Will the Massage System help Arthritis?
The combination of Cycloidal Massage and Infrared Heat will help to alleviate secondary symptoms such as pain and ache associated with Arthritis but will of course not cure the core problem. Often arthritis makes exercise very difficult and this is when the System can really help provide safe, non-weight bearing passive exercise. Regular use of the massage system will make partaking in weight bearing exercise more of a possibility and will help stabilize and improve troublesome mobility problems.

Can I use the Massage System if I have a Hip or Knee Replacement?
The massage system can be used safely pre or post-operatively as an effective method of keeping the muscles active which support the problem joint. This will help avoid muscle wastage and the build up of waste products resulting in swelling. We do not advise using the Massage or Infrared Heat directly on new post-operative wounds that are inflamed until these symptoms subside. However the System can be used at this time indirectly on other parts of the body, which will enhance general circulation aiding recovery and pain relief.

How long does a treatment take?
The pre-programmed standard treatment times vary from 15,30,45 and 60 minutes. Generally, first-time users should start with programs of 15-minute duration. After a short period of acclimatisation, treatments can be lengthened. There is no maximum length for a treatment, but more than 60 minutes at one time will offer few additional benefits. Using the Massage System only once a day and just lengthening the treatment period to 60 minutes is less preferable than using it several times a day for shorter periods of time.

Can I use the Massage System every day?
Daily use is advised in order to encourage and maintain an improvement in many and varied conditions. If necessary a treatment with the Massage System can be applied several times a day as the beneficial effects are cumulative and increase with regular treatments.

What benefits do Foot and Hand Massage produce?
Pressure sensors in the feet and hands are a part of the body’s reflex zones and when stimulated will trigger positive responses in various parts of the body. The Massage System allows you to easily massage yourself in these sensitive areas, which will in turn produce a feeling of total relaxation and reduced stress. “If my feet feel good I feel good”

What is the power consumption?
With a standard treatment length of 15 minutes the power used will be about 20 Watts per treatment. The maximum total power use is approximately 75 Watts.

What about electromagnetic pollution?
The Pro Personal Massage System is a licensed and approved medical product of class 2A, which is tested for electromagnetic tolerance. Thus, there are no negative effects on the human body due to electromagnetic pollution.

Can the Massage System be used outside of the UK?
Using the relevant plug adapter the Massage System can be used worldwide. No changes have to be made to the device itself.

How do I clean the Massage System?
Never submerge the device or place into water! The covers are made of a soft and easy-to-clean leather substitute. Normal dirt and stains can be easily wiped away with a solution of neutral soap and lukewarm water and then dried with a clean soft cloth.

What do I do if there is a technical problem?
